Year 2 - Week 1

 

It all begins again 

If you haven't read the latest post about where we have been and what things will look like heading forward, you can find under the ''We're Back'' tab.

This week isn't actually a full week's worth of updates, I know, we've squandered you! Don't worry, moving forward there should be a full weeks worth of content to read about, well, thats if we play every day, or achieve something every day, heres hoping? 

Just to reiterate what was said in the post linked, blog updates will be coming once a week, aiming for that day to be Wednesdays, and look at it this way, if we can get the update out early enough, it'll give you something to do while OSRS is down for the weekly maintenance! You're welcome! 

Anyway, with the formalities out of the way, lets get to the adventuring shall we?

The somewhat average return

Ros started with some Tempross, I know, everyone is so surprised! While she was there, she gained lvl 69 Cooking. No new rewards to speak of, that elusive Tome of Water is still avoiding poor Mrs Ir0nman, as well as the dragon harpoon and the Tiny Tempor pet.

From here, she went to Seers Village to do some Woodcutting/Forestry and actually encountered her first Forestry event, she of course had absolutely no idea what was going on and blindly panicked her way through it but deemed it somewhat successful regardless as she received her first Forestry collection log item which was some Beehive pieces, while Woodcutting she managed to gain herself a few levels taking her to lvl 55 Woodcutting alongside this (and thanks to the Beehive event) she also managed to snag a construction level taking her to lvl 44, and as if that wasn't enough, she wanted to be level greedy and decided to do some fletching and got herself an almost respectable lvl 41, with the aim to get lvl 45 to be able to fletch and chop maples simultaneously, avoiding the run to the bank every so often. She then rounded off her day with a couple laps of her most dreaded agility course yet, (Seers) and much to her delight she got herself up one more level taking her Agility to lvl 64 and finishing the day with a Total Level of 1176. 

(If Ros has offended anyone in her hatred of the Seers course, she has advised you forward your complaints to MrsIr0nman who may or may not be found scrambling around the rooftops of Seers Village muttering to herself about how this is the worst course so far and why can't we just do something else already?)

Nomadics had a somewhat less exciting return, although it's not really much of a return for him because even though he hasn't really played since Leagues, he has been on and off playing since Ros stopped, ''some might call this taking advantage to get ahead'' but Nomadics doesn't, he says things like ''It's beneficial to both of us'' anyway...Nomadics started by heading off to do some Barrows runs, unfortunately, those tank legs are still avoiding him, so he walked away empty handed again this time.

He then took himself off for some quality time at the 'todt, because we all know Nomadics can't take himself away from Wintertodt for long. It definitely had nothing to do with teaching MrsIr0nman how to do solos. He did however manage to grab himself the combat challenge for managing to take it down solo, and working toward getting himself the Phoenix pet.

Once he was able to steal himself away and had finished what he was aiming to achieve, he took himself off to GotR (Guardians of the Rift) and snagged himself a cheeky 69 Runecrafting. He then very kindly made a whole bunch of teleport tabs for various places around Gielinor for the pair of us, giving himself lvl 85 Magic, and finished off his day by starting his Hellhounds Slayer task and completed 3 Hard Clues, doing these he received Ancient Plate Legs and Ancient Blessing. MrIr0nman closed out the day with a Total Level of 1822.

Wood, Solos, and the den

Ros had another semi productive day today, She  chopped Willows and made arrow shafts until lvl 45 Fletching, and then continued this trend by chopping Maple trees and fletching the logs until lvl 60 Woodcutting, she then attached Feathers to the arrow shafts for a cool lvl 46 in Fletching. She then dragged Nomadics off to Wintertodt, as if he needed an excuse, to learn solos, and managed to get herself a plethora of achievements such as; a Medium diary task for Kebos and Kourend, as well as 3 easy, 1 medium and 1 hard Combat Achievements, a couple of Firemaking levels, a construction level, and a partridge in a pear tree pair of warm gloves, ticking off another collection log item, too.

We then ventured off to Rogue’s Den where Nomadics showed us through the maze and the RNG blessed us by giving me my first piece of the Rouge's outfit on my first try! I also managed to unlock a new music track while in the maze.

Nomadics didn't manage to get to do much today so no update from him today, and no, it's not because MrsIr0nman dragged him all over Gielinor for his expertise, no really.

Tears, Tasks & Tantrums

Ros continued her day at Rogues Den, but that's not where the tears come in, well, mostly, but it is where the tantrum comes in. In an effort to be the slowest to receive the full Rogues, ever, Ros spent (and we wish we were exaggerating here) a total of 5hrs in Rogues Den failing and failing to only receive the last 4 pieces she needed back to back. Remember how we mentioned the RNG blessed us yesterday? Apparently that didn't last. Damn RNG. After Ros took some time to remember why she loves this game, and to convince herself to not delete her account once and for all, (we've all been there haven't we) Ros took herself off to Tears of Guthix, and cheered herself up by snagging a lvl 38 in Slayer. She then took herself off for a quest, She managed to fulfil a Medium diary task in Varrock, and unlock a new music track in Varlamore, as well as crossing off an Easy task in the Western Provinces area, and finally, completed the ''Ethically acquired Antiques'' quest for a lovely 6,000 Thieving XP and 5,000 coins giving her lvl 51 Thieving. Then after much deliberation, Ros ended up in Motherlode Mine grabbing lvl 75 Mining, and finished off the day at Wintertodt for lvl 59 Firemaking & lvl 47 Fletching finishing the day with a Total Level of 1201.

Nomadics did get on today and completed a few Slayer tasks but didn't actually receive any levels or any achievements today so nothing has changed for him just yet.
