Year 2 - Week 2

Wednesday 19/03

Slay the day

Mr Ironman kicks us off this week with some Slayer tasks where he went off to kill some Skeletal Wyverns, Suqahs, and Cave Horrors, He also completed a Hard Clue scroll gaining the Rune Full Helm (G) which is a collection log item, sadly no new stats to be had for him just yet, but hes working his way through that XP to the next level drop.

Mrs Ironman followed suit and also trained some Slayer, where she managed to take her Hitpoints lvl to 47, and Magic to lvl 53. She then took herself off to Guardians of the Rift where she spent some time getting her Crafting lvl up to 52, and Runecrafting to lvl 61. She then made an attempt to head to Canafis via fairy rings, and because she was too lazy to look it up herself hit a blunder when Nomadics gave her the wrong fairy ring code, twice, but we can't hold a grudge as it did unlock 4 new music tracks for the collection. Once she finally made it there and met with the Slayer master, she found herself coming face to face with an old nemisis, the Cave Crawlers. (insert dramatic sound clip here)

Now, to most this will not mean much, and to those who play, you will think ''Cave Crawlers? Why are they so scary?'' Well, in truth, they're not, but those with a keen memory may or may not remember way back when, Cave Crawlers were actually the thing that took the first life from the pair of Hardcore Ironmen. They poisioned Mrs Ironman when she was just a little baby Iron, but that day she made those pesky Crawlers a promise, a promise she held true this day, and that promise was, that they would RUE THE DAY THE EVER CROSSED MRS IRONMAN. and rue, they did.

Mrs Ironman went in with nerves of steel, and an Iron fist, and showed those Cave Crawlers exactly who was boss and slayed them all, one by one, until her task was complete and getting herself lvl 39 Slayer. ''That'll show 'em'' she said to herself as she dusted herself off and walked away, like a boss.

She then took herself off to meet with the Edgeville slayer master and completed a medium diary task in the Varrock area. The slayer master sent her off to fight Harpie Bug Swarms, she achieved this and gained lvl 59 Combat, lvl 48 Strength, and also got herself Steel Boots which is another Collection log item crossed off the list.
After so much excitment, Mrs Ironman decided to take herself off for a bird house run (really she was just avoiding her next slayer task) but managed to snag herself lvl 48 Hunter in the process. She then went off to try her hand at a bit of Forestry, and did some Woodcutting and Fletching while awaiting a Forestry event to pop up gaining lvl 62 Woodcutting, and lvl 48 Fletching.
She then visited the Rainging Guild for another medium diary task, but this time it was for the Kandarin area, and killed a Swordchick, in the tower of life, for a meduim Diary task in the Ardougne area, she then teleported via fairy ring to the Wizards Tower for a medium diary task in the Lumbridge and Draynor area. Finishing off the day with a Total Level of 1210.

Thursday 20/03

Another day, Another Slay

Mrs Ironman kicked off a fresh day with a spot of gliding, she used the Gnome Glider for a trip to complete a medium diary task in the Karamjo area, she then pulled on her big girl pants and took herself off for anothe day of slayer, she managed to complete multiple Slayer tasks, she started with Ice Giants, giving herself lvl 49 Slayer, 48 Hitpoints, lvl 60 Combat & lvl 46 Defence. She then visited the Kourend Cattacombs for a Hill Giants Slayer task, unlocking a new music track, and giving herself lvl 41 Slayer and lvl 50 Strength in the process. She then killed Hobgoblins in Edgeville dungeon gaining 49 Hitpoints, lvl 51 Strength, lvl 61 Combat & lvl 42 Slayer. This wasn't enough for Mrs Ironman, she had a taste for it now and wasn't stopping there, so she carried on her rampage and took herself off to the Fremennick slayer caves to kill Basilisks and snagged herself another 2 new music tracks, and lvl 50 Attack, she still had a little left to give so finished her Slayer grind for the day with Pyrefiends, and got herself lvl 54 Magic, lvl 43 Slayer, 50 Hitpoints and lvl 40 Prayer.
She then finished off her day of bloodshed with a Medium Clue Scroll and received a Red Boater, and a Mithril Platebody (t), both of which were collection log items. Mrs Ironman finished the day with a total level of 1224.

Mr Ironman had a pretty similar day, killing in the name of Slayer. He completed a Wyrns task getting himself lvl 81 Slayer, and a bursting task at Nechryaels giving himself lvl 76 Defence in half of the task. He now has a Total Level of 1825.

Friday 21/03

50 days shades of Slay(er)

You guessed it, its another day of Slayer for our two brave adventurers, Mrs Ironman completed anothe Harpie Bug Swarms task with lvl 51 Attack & lvl 62 Combat. She then went on to complete a Warewolf Slayer task and got herself lvl 44 Slayer, lvl 53 Attack, 51 Hitpoints, and lvl 53 Combat, as well as completing an easy task in the Morytana area, She then went on to Kill Moss giants, and after a bit off a shaky start, she walked away victorious with lvl 55 Magic, lvl 45 Slayer, lvl 47 Defence, and a Mossy Key collection log item. She then mixed it up a bit with a Farming run for lvl 45, Made Prayer potions for lvl 44 Herblore, and completed an Easy diary task in the Wilderness area by praying at the Chaos Altar, and sacrificed Wyorm bones to the chaos altar for lvl 45 Prayer. Mrs Ironman finished the day with a Total Level of 1241.

Mr Ironman managed to complete his Nechyrael task along with Suqah and Skeletal Wyvern tasks for a cool 180 Slayer streak. He also started a Lizardman Shaman task getting a Xerics as his only drop.

Saturday 22/03

Questing & Heartbreak

Mrs Ironman had a DAY of it today, she looked at the quest log, cracked her knuckles and said ''lets be havin' ya''. (ok, maybe she didn't say those exact words but, were trying here)

She kick started the day with the quest ''Between a Rock'' in doing this, she managed to complete a Medium Falador diary task, gained a new music track, and a Rune pickaxe as well as 5,000 Defence XP, 5,000 Mining XP, & 5,000 Smithing XP. She then headed off to start the quest ''Death on the Isle'' and unlocked 2 new music tracks, she completed it gaining lvl 52 Thieving, 7,500 Agility XP, 5,000 Crafting XP and the ability to use a costume needle. She then went on to complete the task ''Enakrah's Lament'' recieving lvl 53 Crafting, lvl 56 Magic, lvl 60 Firemaking as well as a Camulet, and completing a Hard diary task in the Desert area along with unlocking another new music track. As if that wasn't enough music tracks questing, Mrs Ironman then went on to complete ''Horror from the deep'' for another new music track, lvl 43 Ranged, lvl 52 Strength & lvl 64 Combat, as well as a damaged book. She then completed ''Icthlarin's Little Helper'' giving her 5 new music tracks, lvl 65 Agility, and an amulet of Catspeak, She then went on to complete ''In search of the Myrique'' as well as ''In aid of the Myrique'' giving her yet more music tracks, as well as access to The Hollows and Burgh De Rott and access to Temple Trecking, as well as Defence lvl 48. She then finished off the day completing a Medium Clue Scroll and would you belive it? she got a new music track, and a Red Firelighter which is another collection log item. All this taking her Total Level to 1249.

Mr Ros had a slightly different day, He finished the Lizardman Shaman task, and then continued on his grind at Barrows, ever searching for those tank legs. He decided to bless us by telling us about his grind at Barrows today in his own words, so, in the words of the man himself; ''Today's grind was fulled by Self-Loathing and Bitterness. Started the day at 330 Barrow's chests completed, fast forward to 370 chests looted, with absoluetly 0 items obtained from those 40 looted chests and my last item being at chest number 314.

This means I am 54 Barrows chests without seeing an item, at a 1/16 drop rate, this is turning into a horrible grind for tank legs.'' 

We're rooting for you, Nomadics. Glory comes to those who wait, or something.

Sunday 23/03

Salt & Lemon, Hold the Tequila

Farming, Running, Farming & Running is about all it takes to sum up Mrs Ironman's Sunday. A lazy Sunday by all counts, but that doesn't mean it was lazy on the stats, Mrs Ironman settled in Sunday for a day of Farming and Birdhouse runs, she managed to get herself lvl 46 Farming, and lvl 50 Hunter and then she was taken by Nomadics to a new (new to Ros) Minigame called Tithe Farm, here she reached lvl 53 Farming, and used her points in the rewards shop to get a Gricoller's Can which is a collection log item, and she continued Bird House runs for lvl 52 Hunter bringin her Total Level to 1261.

Mr Ironman had ''another all round enjoyable experiance at the Barrow's Brothers, with another 20 chests full of the rewarding drops full of the emptiness and soul crushing that I so desperately needed.'' Mr Ironman currently stands at 390 chests looted, with his last item coming from a chest 76 attempts ago.

Monday 24/03 

Farming & Looting

Ros had a sense of Deja Vu today, she was once again at Tithe Farm in between Bird House runs, she managed to snag herself lvl 58 Farming, and lvl 53 Hunter as well as Grabbing a beginner clue scroll from a birds nest, completing it and receiving ''Sandwich Lady Bottom'' as a collection log from it. She then headed over to the Farming guild to steal seeds from the Master Farmer and complete Farming contracts, while here she unlocked 3 more music tracks, and gained lvl 55 Thieving.

Nomadics was at Barrows, again, but this time he got himself lvl 86 Magic, and not only did he go through his 404th chest without a drop, he FINALLY broke his dry streak on chest number 412 with a Karils leather top collection log item at 412 chests open, breaking his streak on a WHOPPING 98 chests dry. Still no legs though but we're not going to talk about that.

Tuesday 25/03

Farming & Thieving

Ros was sticking true to the grind again today, staying with the Farming Guild until lvl 56 Thieving, then she took herself off to Ardougne to a splashing world to steal from the Ardougne Knight giving herself lvl 60 Thieving and gaining a nice tidy sum of 93,500 in gold. She did however end the day back at Tithe Farm, where she ran poor Mrs Ironman around in more circles until she had enough points to buy a Seed Box collection log item and gaining lvl 60 Farming taking her to a Total Level of 1277.

After the sucess of the Barrow's run the day before, Nomadics took the day off to do something else. anything else. So no updates from Mr Ironman today, but I think we can all agree, it's a well deserved rest! 

After so many levels from Mrs Ironman, the high scores are certainly looking a lot different!
